    Please, keep in mind that in British Columbia everybody has a direct access to physiotherapy services. Direct access means that individuals may consult a regulated health professional (e.g.. physiotherapist), other than a physician without requiring a referral.     Direct access facilitates access to health care, lowers health costs and helps ensure that Canadians can obtain necessary health services in the most appropriate venues. This legislative right  of the public should also be exercised when dealing with private insurance plans.
